It’s been an exciting few weeks at HapWare! Between Techstars, Disability tech events at Perkins School for the Blind, and new learning opportunities, our team has been diving deep into how we can support the community.

Techstars Update

Our time at Techstars has been nothing short of transformative. The main takeaway this week? Thinking bigger. We’ve been challenged to expand our vision, refine our storytelling, and connect our mission with the broader ecosystem of accessibility innovation. We are building our technology to help people of all walks of life and a range of disabilities. From people who blind and have low vision to neurodiverse. 

Mentor selection is also underway, and we’ve had the chance to connect with several incredible leaders across accessibility, hardware, AI and impact. Stay tuned! 

Perkins School for the Blind Disability Tech Pitch

We’re thrilled to share that HapWare took 2nd place at the Disability Tech pitch competition at Perkins sponsored by Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation! Thank you to Howe Innovation at the Perkins School for the Blind for hosting and coordinating this incredible event! It was an amazing experience sharing ALEYE with innovators, advocates, and investors passionate about disability technology.
